When selecting the installation site, you should consider the following points:

• Choose a mounting location with sufficient daylight if you want to operate the siren with the solar panel.

First disarm your existing intrusion alarm system.

Deactivate the Bosch Smart Home alarm system in your Bosch Smart Home app.

Go to Device Management and remove the Outdoor siren in question from your Bosch Smart Home app.

Loosen the locking screw on the bottom of the siren and remove the siren from the mounting plate.

Open the cover of the battery compartment. Set the on/off switch to off.

Press and hold the reset key and switch on the device. Continue to hold it down until the status LED flashes orange.

7. release and now press and hold the reset button again until the status LED lights up green. Now you can release the key again.

If the status LED is red, repeat the procedure or contact support.

If DIP switch 1 is set to "Legacy", then the settings of the other DIP switches are still valid. If necessary, reset all DIP switches to their factory settings.

If you operate the siren with 5-28VDC, disable the power supply before performing the reset.

You can adjust the primary power supply of your Bosch Smart Home Outdoor siren in the Bosch Smart Home app (Management >> Devices >> Outdoor siren).

When operating the Outdoor siren on the Bosch Smart Home controller and 230V as the primary power supply, DIP switch 7 must be set to OFF.

The primary power supply has failed. Check the power supply you have selected.

The tear-off contact of your Bosch Smart Home Outdoor siren has been triggered. Either tampering has been detected or the contact has been incorrectly adjusted. Check the siren and the situation. You may need to readjust the contact.

To check the battery charge level, open the battery compartment cover and turn the instrument on at the on/off switch. Press and hold the reset button .

The status LED on the bottom should now light up until you release the button again.

• A green glow of the status LED means that the battery is sufficiently charged.
• An orange glow means that it is recommended to continue charging the battery.
• A red light or no light means that the charge level of your battery is very low. You can charge the battery of your Outdoor siren via USB-C before installation.

If the battery of your Bosch Smart Home Outdoor siren can no longer be fully charged, it must be replaced as follows:

First, deactivate the "Alarm system" service in your Bosch Smart Home app.

Loosen the locking screw on the bottom of the siren and remove the siren from the mounting plate.

Open the cover of the battery compartment and set the On/Off switch to Off.

Pull the battery connection cable out of the connection socket and remove the battery.

Connect the cable of the new battery and place the battery in the battery compartment.

6. close the cover of the battery compartment and, before mounting the siren, check the battery charge level and charge it if necessary.

Set the on/off switch to "On".

Close the cover of the battery compartment. Place the siren back on the mounting plate and retighten the locking screw.

If necessary, reactivate the "Alarm system" function in the Bosch Smart Home System and/or your classic alarm system.

To charge the battery, open the battery compartment and connect a commercially available power adapter to the USB-C socket. The LED flashes orange during the charging process. The charging process is completed when the LED is permanently green.

To charge the Outdoor siren, the device must be switched on at the ON/OFF switch in the battery compartment.

The device is maintenance-free. Leave repair to a specialist or contact our service team.

Clean the device with a soft, clean, dry and lint-free cloth. Do not use any cleaning agents containing solvents for cleaning.

If the solar panel is heavily soiled (e.g. dust/flower pollen), its function may be impaired. In this case, clean the solar panel with a soft damp cloth.

If the battery of your Bosch Smart Home Outdoor siren can no longer be fully charged, it must be replaced as follows:

1. first deactivate the "alarm system" service in your Bosch smart home app and deactivate your existing burglar alarm system.

Loosen the locking screw on the bottom of the siren and remove the siren from the mounting plate.

Open the cover of the battery compartment and set the On/Off switch to Off.

Pull the battery connection cable out of the connection socket and remove the battery.

Connect the cable of the new battery and place the battery in the battery compartment.

The internal backup battery of the Bosch Smart Home Outdoor siren can be easily recharged via USB cable. During operation, the battery usually does not need to be recharged.
