Bosch Smart Home Chat

Save energy easily and reliably

Sometimes we just want some fresh air. With Bosch Smart Home indoor climate solutions, you don't have to worry about remembering to turn down the heating as your Door/Window Contacts automatically communicate with the Smart Home Controller when a door or window is open and it will automatically turn the heating off. This allows you to enjoy the fresh air, without wasting energy and without having to lift a finger.

Frequently asked questions on the door/window contact

How do I attach the Bosch Smart Home door/window contact?

This is how to attach your door/window contact

The smaller magnetic part of the Bosch Smart Home door/window contact is directly mounted on the window. The larger reed contact is mounted at the same height, not more than 8 mm away from the window frame. A wireless module for two-way communication with the Bosch Smart Home Controller is built into the reed relay. The door/window contact is also equipped with a built-in LED to display updates or faults.

I can't integrate my door/window contact. What can I do?

How to resolve failure to integrate door/window contact

If you can't integrate the door/window contact, please perform the following steps:

1. Repeat the installation process. Before doing so, please check whether the device has already been recognised under the "Devices" menu item and remove it if necessary.

2. Please check whether the batteries are inserted correctly. Once the batteries are inserted correctly, does the LED on the front light up briefly?

3. Reset the device before repeating the installation process. To do so, open the battery cover and hold down the button located on the bottom while reinserting the batteries until the LED on the door/window contact flashes orange. Release the button briefly, then hold it down again until the LED lights up in green. You can then repeat the installation process.

4. Try to integrate the door/window contact manually using the SGTIN and key code. These are located alongside the QR code in the battery compartment.

5. If you still can't integrate the product, please contact our freephone customer service department number 00800 8437 6278* or write to us using the contact form on our website.

* Free, however some charges may apply, depending on the operator.

The heating regulation doesn't change when a window is opened.

Solution for connecting with the radiator thermostat

Open the door/window contact and wait a few seconds. If the room still does not switch into setback mode, it may be for various reasons:
1. Check whether the window contact is indicating opening and closing on the built-in LED. In addition, the window contact for the window concerned must be assigned to the same room as the thermostat.
2. The window contact components must not be mounted more than 8 mm from each other and must be at the same height (lower edge) so that they can find each other.
3. The batteries in the window contact and thermostat must be inserted correctly.
4. Please check whether two or three LEDs light up white continuously on your Smart Home Controller, depending on whether or not remote access is activated.
