Can I use the indoor camera in a protected outdoor area?
The product is only suitable for use in houses, flats and rooms with residential-like use and may only be used indoors together with original Bosch Smart Home components. Any other use is not intended. Any damage resulting from this is excluded from liability.
What to do if the 360° indoor camera cannot be connected?
Please check if your smartphone is in the same wlan as your camera and if there is sufficient signal strength. You can easily check this with your smartphone by checking the Wlan symbol on your smartphone at the place of installation. This should be at least two bars out of three. If your camera alternately flashes green and red after QR Code recognition, it was unable to log into your wifi network. Check your Wlan password and try again. If the camera flashes red and blue alternately, the connection to the Bosch Cloud could not be established.
Which settings are retained after a reset (360° indoor camera, Eyes outdoor camera)?
The following data will not be deleted by resetting the camera with the "Reset" function of the Bosch Smart Camera App: Service log files Saved rules for day or night settings Video recording in the Bosch Cloud This does not apply to a reset process that was triggered directly on the camera and thus via the reset button on the device. Only the service log files are retained here.
Which app do I need to control the camera (360° indoor camera, Eyes outdoor camera)?
To set up and control your Bosch Smart Home cameras, you need the Bosch Smart Camera App. You can download the Bosch Smart Camera App from the Google Play Store (for Android smartphones)and download it for free from the Apple App Store (for iPhones).
Why do I scan the QR Code with the camera (360° indoor camera, Eyes outdoor camera)?
Your app generates a QR code based on your SSID (wlan name), password and connection key to allow the camera to connect to your home network and to the Bosch cloud. Hold the QR code in front of your camera lens in normal daylight at a distance of about 5-30 cm. Once the camera has detected a correct QR code, you will hear a confirmation beep (Bing) and the camera will illuminate solid green. Then the flashing blue light indicates that the connection to the Bosch Cloud is established and once connected, a solid blue light is displayed for about 30 seconds. Please note: If the W-LAN settings of your router have changed, but the camera has not yet been re-tuned, an audio signal will be generated to signal the unsuccessful connection. Important: Please do not add a new camera, but use the "Camera Settings -> General" in your Bosch Smart Home Camera App and adjust the W-LAN settings accordingly.
Where do I optimally place my 360° indoor camera?
Place your 360° indoor camera in a location that is most likely to pass through. As it has a 360° detection range, you can also place your 360° indoor camera in the middle of a room. Check the image and viewing angle visually via your app and adjust the camera position as needed. Please note: In Germany, the filming or photographing of natural persons requires the explicit consent of the party concerned. This also applies to your visitors, who must be made aware of the indoor surveillance and should agree to it. This may also apply to the UK and France.
My 360° indoor camera flashes red and green after the QR code has been scanned. What's the meaning of this?
The camera could not connect to your wireless network. Please check whether you are in the same WLAN network as the smartphone in which your camera is to be connected. Please make sure that the smartphone is connected to your router via a 2.4 GHz connection. Also check that your WLAN password was entered correctly during the installation process. How can I perform a reset on my Bosch Smart Home 360° indoor camera (factory settings)?
Press the button in the opening above the SD card slot with a pointed object (e.g. a paper clip) and keep it pressed until the LED band of your camera flashes red (after approx. 5 seconds).
