How do I reset the Bosch Smart Home water alarm to factory settings?
Remove one battery from the water alarm. While replacing the battery, keep the button pressed until the LED flashes orange. Release and press again until the LED lights green. The water alarm will now reset to the factory settings.
How do I install the Bosch Smart Home water alarm?
If you haven't already: Download the Bosch Smart Home App from the App Store or Google Play Store and put the Smart Home Controller you need into operation. Then open the Bosch Smart Home App, navigate to the device settings and press "Add devices". Then follow the instructions in the app. If you would like an even more convenient solution, you are welcome to book our installation service at www.bosch.mila.com. Please note that the installation service is currently only available in selected regions of Germany.
Can I glue the Bosch Smart Home water alarm to the floor?
The water alarm should always be placed flexibly in the room. The water alarm signals when it goes crazy. Please note that sticking may constitute improper use and that warranty claims may be invalidated.
Where should I best place the Bosch Smart Home water sensor?
The Bosch Smart Home Water Sensor should be placed near water-carrying pipes or near a water-carrying device. Place the Bosch Smart Home Water Sensor on a smooth and level surface to ensure optimal detection of any liquid spillage.

If an alarm of a Bosch Smart Home water alarm is triggered, is the alarm passed on to another one?
Alarm forwarding is not possible. However, you will receive acoustic and optical feedback via app and integrated Smart LEDs.
My Bosch Smart Home water alarm is defective due to water damage. How can I dispose of it properly?
Electrical or electronic equipment that is no longer usable and defective or used batteries must be collected separately and sent for environmentally sound recycling (European Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). Please use the country-specific return and collection systems for the disposal of old electrical or electronic equipment and batteries.
Can Bosch Smart Home cameras be activated by a water alarm?
All cameras integrated in the Bosch Smart Home are activated in case of a water alarm.
How can I extend the range of my Bosch Smart Home water alarm?
With the Bosch Smart Home Plug Compact you have the possibility to extend the range of the Smart Home Controller.
How can I deactivate the Bosch Smart Home water alarm if the Smart Home Controller crashes and cannot be operated via App?
On the device itself, you can deactivate the water alarm by pressing the black button on the bottom of the Bosch Smart Home water alarm.
Is there a possibility to stop leaking water automatically when the sensor strikes?
The focus of the Bosch Smart Home water alarm is on the detection of possible water leakage and not on turning off water pipes.
Do I get an information (water alarm) when the batteries are empty?
Your Bosch Smart Home App reports a battery level below 30%.
Can I switch off the acoustic alarm of the Bosch Smart Home water alarm?
You can deactivate the alarm yourself on the device. You can mute the alarm via the Bosch Smart Home App
What happens if the water alarm gets wet due to a burst pipe? Does it still work?
The water alarm is IP44 splash-proof from all sides. Complete immersion in water must be avoided.
How many Bosch Smart Home water alarms can I integrate into my system?
There is no limit to the number of devices that can be used with the Bosch Smart Home water alarm. Be aware, however, that in very large systems the reaction speed of the integrated devices may decrease.
The connection quality between my Bosch Smart Home water alarm and the Bosch Smart Home Controller is very poor. What can I do?
If the connection between your water alarm and the Bosch Smart Home Controller is poor, either bring the two devices closer together or use the Plug Compact plug as a range extender.
I have pets or children at home. How can I protect the Bosch Smart Home water alarm against moving?
If the Bosch Smart Home water alarm is driven mad by animals or people, you will automatically receive a push notification on your smartphone.
