LEDVANCE Smart+

If you have a compatible Ledvance product, please proceed as follows:

1. Open the Bosch Smart Home App.

2. Open the "Devices" section.

3. Add a new device using the "+" button.

4. Open the "Smart Lamp" section.

5. Now follow the instructions in the app.

After you have integrated the Ledvance products into your Bosch Smart Home System, you can incorporate the Ledvance products into scenarios, automations, and other services such as presence simulation, the alarm system, and motion-activated lighting.

You can switch your Ledvance products on and off via the Bosch Smart Home Twist or the Bosch Smart Home Universal Switches and trigger scenarios.

You can integrate the majority of all Ledvance products from the Smart+ family into the Bosch Smart Home system. The requirement is that the devices operate on the ZigBee 3.0 wireless protocol. You do not need an additional controller or bridge to integrate the Ledvance products. Integration is done via the Bosch Smart Home Controller. You can find a detailed list of all compatible products here.

In case of a burglary alarm, Ledvance lamps that are capable of producing colored light flash red. In case of a smoke alarm, the Ledvance lamps light up yellow. In case of a water alarm, they light up blue.

Smart lights from LEDVANCE that are integrated into the Bosch Smart Home System can additionally be controlled via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

The user can create and control scenarios/routines within the partners (Alexa/Google) to turn the LEDVANCE Smart light on/off, adjust the brightness, color temperature, and color.

Voice control for Ledvance products via Apple HomeKit or Siri is currently not possible.

To reset Tunable White Ledvance products to factory settings, switch the lamps ON and OFF five times in succession for five seconds each. After switching on again, the lamp will flash twice in cold white and warm white to confirm and can then be integrated into a compatible smart home system again.

To reset Ledvance products that have the RGBW designation in their product description, i.e. lamps that can also display colors, please proceed as follows:

Switch the Ledvance product on and off five times in succession for five seconds each time. After switching on again, the lamp flashes blue, green and red for confirmation and can then be integrated into the Bosch Smart Home system again.

### Extending the Range of Bosch Smart Home Products with LEDVANCE

Yes, you can use LEDVANCE Smart+ Zigbee lamps to extend the signal of Bosch Smart Home products that use the ZigBee 3.0 wireless standard.

#### How it works:

Installation of LEDVANCE lamps: Place the lamps near your Bosch Smart Home devices.

Establish connection to Bosch Smart Home Controller: Make sure the lamps are connected to your Bosch Smart Home system.

Signal amplification: The LEDVANCE Smart+ Zigbee lamps act as repeaters and amplify the ZigBee signal.

#### Important Notes:

Range extension is only available as long as the LEDVANCE Smart+ Zigbee lamps are not without power (e.g. by switching off the light switch).

If your LEDVANCE Smart+ Zigbee lamp is disconnected from power, battery-powered Bosch Smart Home devices will search for a new connection.

After switching the LEDVANCE Smart+ Zigbee lamp back on, the battery-powered Bosch Smart Home devices often remain on the poorer connection.

Therefore, if necessary, remove the batteries from affected Smart Home devices and reinsert them to restart the devices. The battery-powered Smart Home devices will then attempt to find a better connection to the controller.

Even though power failures are relatively rare in Central Europe, precautions have been taken in this regard. As soon as the power supply is restored after a power failure, the Ledvance products are reset to their default settings.

No. Only selected ZigBee 3.0 devices from Ledvance are compatible with our Bosch Smart Home system. You can find all compatible devices here.

The default setting of compatible Ledvance products is the same as the last used setting of the respective lamps, which includes brightness as well as color and color temperature. To save the last used setting, the lamp must be switched on in the respective setting for 30 seconds.

Yes, it is possible to operate compatible Ledvance products using a light switch. However, it is not possible to turn on the Ledvance lamps via the Bosch Smart Home App when the light switch is set to "Off".

No, unfortunately it is not possible to dim compatible Ledvance products using a conventional dimmer. The Bosch Smart Home App is required to change the brightness of the lamps.

In some cases, compatible Ledvance Smart+ devices do not have QR codes. In this case, please fill out the complaint form on the Ledvance website. You will receive a replacement promptly. You can find the replacement requestshere.

Please first check whether the selected products are capable of displaying the desired color.

Ledvance products with the label"Dimmable" can change brightness, Ledvance products with the label"Tunable White"can additionally set different color temperatures and Ledvance products with the addition"Multicolor"can additionally set RGBW.

1. Check that the compatible Ledvance products have a functioning power supply and are switched on. If necessary, use Ledvance products with the Bosch Smart Home Light Control flush-mounted. Check whether it is switched on. The Ledvance product can only receive commands when the power is switched on.

2. If power is supplied, disconnect the affected Ledvance product from the power supply for 30 seconds. Then restore the power supply. It can take up to three minutes for the Ledvance product to reconnect to the Bosch Smart Home system.

To reset dimmable Ledvance products to factory settings, turn the lamps ON for five seconds and OFF for five seconds, five times in a row. After turning them on again, the lamp will dim up and down three times for confirmation and can then be integrated into a compatible smart home system again.
