Door/Window Contact II plusM - Installation
Reason:
When the Bosch Smart Home Door/Window Contact II [+M] is paired with a Bosch Smart Home Controller, an automatic switch of the wireless standard from Thread to Zigbee takes place via Bluetooth. For this, Bluetooth must be enabled on the smartphone being used.
What does this mean for you?
Automatic switch: The switch of the wireless standard from Thread to Zigbee occurs automatically via Bluetooth.
Bluetooth required: Your smartphone must have Bluetooth enabled to allow this switch.
What can you do?
Activate Bluetooth: Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone before pairing the Door/Window Contact II [+M].
By default, the Door/Window Contact II [+M] is in Matter mode (via Thread). If you want to pair the device via Zigbee to a Bosch Smart Home Controller, the installation wizard of the Bosch Smart Home App will ask for Bluetooth permission to automatically switch the device to Zigbee mode.
However, if you want to manually switch your Door/Window Contact II [+M] from Matter mode to Zigbee or vice versa, please follow these steps:
1. Press and hold the button on the device for at least 5 seconds.
2. Wait until the status LED of the Door/Window Contact II [+M] starts blinking.
- If the LED blinks orange, the switch from Thread to Zigbee was successful.
- If the LED blinks green, the switch from Zigbee to Thread was successful.
With these simple steps, you can change the wireless standard of your device as needed. If the Door/Window Contact II [+M] is already paired to a controller, it must be reset to factory settings in order to switch the wireless standard.
