Danger of incorrect connection: If the Smart Home wall switch is connected to a 230V network without an actuator, it will be destroyed.

Please ensure that the wall switch is always used with a compatible actuator to avoid damage.

If you are a tenant and do not want to damage your existing switch series, there is a simple solution:

Use the supplied rocker: Use the rocker that is supplied with the smart wall switch.

No modifications necessary: You can install the smart wall switch without modifying your existing switch series.

If your Bosch Smart Home Relay or Smart Home Dimmer only has one input, there are two options for connecting the Bosch Smart Home wall switch for smart Actuators:

The included cover plate / rocker has the standard format 55x55 mm and can therefore be combined with most frames from brand manufacturers

An existing switch is not required, as the wall switch comes with a suitable single cover plate including frame.

If your flush-mounted box is at least 55mm deep, you do not need the wall switch for smart actuators. In this case, your electrician can connect the Bosch Smart Home actuator directly behind your existing switch.

Option 2: Using the Wall Switch

If your flush-mounted box is less than 55mm deep or requires additional space for cable installation, but is at least 35mm deep, the wall switch for smart actuators could be the solution. There are two sub-options:

Is your existing switch series not listed in the compatibility list? For a single frame, you can completely replace it with the supplied frame and the supplied rocker.

Then, you only need the "button unit" and the frame holder from the scope of delivery of the wall switch for smart actuators.

With the frame holder, you can fix the existing frame with the "button unit". You can also continue to use the existing rocker.

Option 2: Partial integration into the existing switch series

Do you have a multiple frame with the rocker dimension 55x55mm?

Then you can continue to use the existing frame. In this case, use the rocker, the frame holder and the "button unit" from the scope of delivery.

Please note that there may be a possible color difference between the rocker and the frame.

Option 3: Complete solution

Would you like to replace a single frame with the wall switch for smart actuators and your switch series is not compatible?

Then you can use the entire scope of delivery of the wall switch for smart actuators and completely replace the existing switch series.

If you want to use a multiple frame, you must first obtain a compatible frame (see Option 2).

### Mounting the Bosch Smart Home Wall Switch Without Threaded Preparation

If your flush-mounted box has no threaded preparation for mounting the Bosch Smart Home wall switch with screws, there is a simple solution. You do not need to replace the box.

Get spreading claws: These are available in stores and specifically designed for flush-mounted boxes without threads.

Mounting:

Insert the spreading claws together with the wall switch into the flush-mounted box.

Tighten the spreading claws until the wall switch is securely seated.
