NEW FUNCTIONS

Eyes indoor camera II

• The indoor camera II can be integrated into the Bosch Smart Home system as an alarm sensor. The motion detection and the Audio+ functions ( subscription required ) allow the acoustic detection of breaking glass and non-smart smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. The alarm function is controlled via the Bosch Smart Home app. Use of this function requires updates to the Bosch Smart Home app, the Bosch Smart Home controller, the Smart Camera app and the firmware of the Eyes indoor camera(s) II.

Universal Switch II

• Protection from activating and/or deactivating the “Alarm system” service with a four-figure code. If the code is entered incorrectly three times, the deactivation function is blocked for 5 minutes and a push notification is sent. This ensures increased security.

smart plug, smart plug compact, smart plug compact [+M]

• Storage of energy values (including name, start and storage time, energy consumption and optional yield). Stored energy values are displayed in an overview.
• Expanded options for actions in automations: In addition to switching on/off, the following actions can now also be selected:
  
  • Change of operating mode (Manual/automatic)
  • temporary activation with timer
  • Log energy values
  • Clear consumption values

IMPROVEMENTS

New firmware

• Radiator thermostat II [+M]
  New firmware for the radiator thermostat II [+M] with the new control algorithm and improved detection of error E03 is available (anal to the already released firmware for the radiator thermostat II).
• Light/shutter control II
  New firmware 2.24 available: Allows you to switch outputs in order to adapt the sense of motion and includes bug fixes for certain drives.

Light/shutter control II

• The Light/shutter control II now offers even more options for ventilating shutters, sun blinds and Venetian blinds.
• Option to switch the outputs of the Shutter control so that the movement agrees with the display in the app if the outputs have been connected the other way.

Smart Home controller / Smart Home Controller II

• During the initial setup, a dialogue is displayed if remote access has not been activated. This explains the consequence (access only in home network).

BUG FIXES

Room temperature

• If changes were made to the room temperature thanks to an automation, then the heating break was ended for this room. This issue has been resolved.

Smart Home Controller II

• During the manual initial setup of a Smart Home controller II, product images of the first-generation Smart Home controller were shown. This issue has been resolved.

Smart Home Controller II - Matter Bridge

• There were reports of a rare problem where the Matter Bridge could be deactivated. We have taken measures to address potential causes of this behavior. As we have not been able to simulate the error ourselves up to now, it cannot be completely excluded that it will occur again in certain situations.

Android app

• smart plug compact
  In rare cases, when starting the timer, the app could crash. This issue has been resolved.
• Data migration from Smart Home controller (generation 1) to Smart Home Controller II
  Correction of display errors (edge-to-edge)
• Automations screen
  A crash of the app in the automation switches when using an external temperature sensor in an automation has been resolved.
• Notifications
  An error has been resolved which could, in rare cases, cause a crash when load the notification settings.
• Room temperature - automation
  When editing automations, in rare cases, the trigger and condition criteria for room temperature and humidity changed automatically. This issue has been resolved.
• smart plug
  Activating the “Switch off automatically” function could cause the app to crash. This issue has been resolved.

iOS app

• Display problems of links within list on pages with recommended solutions have been resolved.
• Central heating
  The navigation from the central heating favorites to the corresponding device details page has been corrected.
• Texts
  The name of the menu entry for the system Restart has been changed from 'Restart now' to 'System Restart'.

Only for Germany: The following points have been revised in our terms of use:

• introduction of the new Security+ service with a description of the services. Information on extraordi- nary cancellation, obligation to provide assistance and responsibility for the “24/7 emergency call control center” service which is integrated into Security+
• Adjustments to services/ premium services.

Privacy Statement

The following points in the data protection information have been revised:

• We use Firebase crashlytic's to improve app stable. This tool collections usage and device data, which does not allow any assignment to your person (see section 3. “collection, processing and use of personal data” under “Use of analysis tools/ personalisation”).
• Only for Germany: New "3.6 premium services and additional functions" section: The new "24/7 emergency call control center" service (Security+ subscription) requires you to transfer your data and the data of your emergency contacts to Bosch Service Solutions GmbH and, if necessary, to the control centres. Details on data processing can be found in section 3.6.
• Android app
  crash reports are collected via Firebase crashlytic's instead of via the Google Play Store. The Privacy Statement has been adapted correspondingly.
• Protect+
  You can now find our device insurance under “More” > “Sections”.
