Technical requirements Bosch Smart Home App
OS versions:
- Android: 8.0 and higher
- iOS: 15.5 and higher
- Beta versions of iOS and Android are not supported
Important Information on App Compatibility
From the controller update rollout in December 2025, the Smart Home Controller and Smart Home Controller II can only be used with the Bosch Smart Home App version 10.13 (released in January 2023) or newer.
Reason: This adjustment is necessary due to the discontinuation of the former heating schedules.
Discontinued versions:
Support for iOS Version 15 will be discontinued with the November 2024 release.
The current app can still be used on these devices. However, you will no longer receive any updates.
Using partners via the Bosch Smart Home Cloud (Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Mercedes MBUX):
An update to release 10.21.2 must be carried out in order to use these partners.
We anticipate that from the end of June 2024, it will no longer be possible to use the Smart Home Cloud for the Bosch Smart Home controller and Bosch Smart Home controller II with a software version lower than 10.21.2.
Update to the Terms of Use
The October 2025 release will include new Terms of Use.
- §26 Dispute Resolution Procedure, Complaints: The Online Dispute Resolution platform will be discontinued on 20.07.2025. The corresponding passage has been deleted.
- §4 Prerequisites for Use: Adjustment of data collection and usage (§4) to Regulation (EU) 2023/2854.
- Austria, France, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Portugal, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland: §7 Premium Services and §30 Changes to Services, Price Changes: Adjustment of wording for booking a premium service via a third-party provider.

- Free LAN port on the router for connecting and setting up the Smart Home Controller
- WLAN for local access from smartphone/tablet to the controller
- Mobile service for remote access from smartphone/tablet to the controller
- Smartphone: Bosch Smart System App
- Internet speed: At least 1 Mbit upstream
- Android: installed Google Play Services

- Android: 8.0 and higher
- iOS: 15.5 and higher
Version discontinuation:
- Support for iOS Version 15 will be discontinued with the November 2025 release.
- iOS legacy widgets will no longer be supported from app version 2.11 onwards.
- Versions of the Smart Camera app that are older than version 2.4.0 will no longer be supported from 11 June 2024.
- Discontinuation of support for all Android versions older than Android 8 with the March 2024 release.
