Light control - General Information
Light control - General Information
If your flush-mounted light control is not working properly, the problem could be with the power (wattage) of your lamps. Here are some possible scenarios and solutions:
Case 1: Load above 5 watts
If the total power of your lamps is above 5 watts, the light control should work normally. It is switched on with a button press at the top and switched off with a button press at the bottom. This behavior is also displayed in the Bosch Smart Home App.
Case 2: Load below 5 watts
If the total power of your lamps is below 5 watts, problems may occur. The light control is switched on with a button press at the top, but is also switched off again with a button press at the top. A button press at the bottom has no function. However, the Bosch Smart Home App displays the behavior from Case 1, which leads to inconsistent states between the app and the device.
This is because the light control determines its state (on/off) based on the current measured power consumption. If this is below 5W, the light control assumes that it is switched off. This is necessary so that the light control can be operated with a two-way switch.
To fix this problem, make sure that the total power of your lamps is above 5 watts.
