Outdoor siren - Installation
Outdoor siren - Installation
You are very welcome to commission the installation service to install the Bosch Smart Home Outdoor Siren. Please check on ourHomepagewebsite to see if we can provide you with contact details of an installer in your area.
Please note that the installation cannot be carried out on existing alarm systems. Only qualified personnel with appropriate knowledge may carry out work on non-smart alarm systems.
When selecting the mounting location, you should consider the following points:
- Choose a mounting location with sufficient daylight if you want to operate the siren with the solar panel.
A south, west, or east orientation of the siren is particularly suitable for this purpose. - Make sure that the solar panel is not permanently shaded, e.g. by trees, buildings or canopies.
- The siren should be at a sufficient height to protect it from tampering attempts.
In Northern Europe (> 55° latitude) it may be necessary to operate the siren with a permanent power supply, as the duration of sunlight during winter may not be sufficient to adequately charge the battery with the solar panel.
To install your Bosch Smart Home Outdoor siren, please consult theOperating instructionsor theInstallation video.
Please note that work involving voltages of 50V and above and work on existing burglar alarm systems may only be carried out by qualified personnel.
Ideally, the siren should be oriented towards the south, east or west. Make sure that the siren is not permanently shaded, e.g. by canopies or roof overhangs.
Please check whether the DIP switches of your Bosch Smart Home Outdoor siren are set to the "Smart" position. You can find the corresponding instructions and position in theOperating instructions.
