In addition to the flush-mounted light control, you can use the Twist to switch your Smart Plug, change the room temperature via your smart radiator thermostats, control individually defined scenarios, and operate your shutter control. Furthermore, you can deactivate your alarm system on the Twist using a code you have defined.
Please note that parts of the described products and their functions may only be available in Germany and Austria.
You can activate and deactivate your alarm system via the Twist. In addition, any smoke or intrusion alarms as well as the room in which these alarms were triggered are displayed.
Select alarm system via Twist: turn or press left/right >> press the lower button on the Twist >> enter code >> press the lower button again
Wait about 3 minutes, the display refreshes approximately every 45 seconds. If you want to be absolutely sure, briefly remove the batteries and press the buttons on the Twist. Then reinsert the batteries. Now the display will be fundamentally refreshed – the fragments should have disappeared.
If you continue to have questions or problems with the integration, accessibility, or use of the device, you are welcome to contact ourCustomer Support.
45 seconds after an interaction or status change, the display image of the Bosch Smart Home Twist refreshes. This is to avoid the so-called "ghosting" effect. This refers to when fragments of letters and symbols that should not be displayed are visible on the display.
Direct sunlight can lead to these pixel errors. After an automatic display refresh, these should disappear (45 seconds after an interaction or status change, the display image of the Bosch Smart Home Twist automatically refreshes).
Using the Bosch Smart Home App, you can display your current alarm code again:
Services >> Alarm System >> Settings (gear icon in upper right corner) >> Deactivation Code >> Show Code
Yes, you can create corresponding scenarios for this purpose, which can then be triggered by the Twist.
The signal strength between your Twist and the Smart Home Controller is weak. Possible causes may be:
- There are too many walls between the devices.
- The walls between the devices are too solid.
- The distance between the devices is too great.
Our recommendations:
- Avoid obstacles between the devices.
- Reduce the distance between the devices.
If you continue to have questions or problems with the integration, please feel free to contact ourCustomer Support.
This behavior results from the e-paper technology used. Due to the energy-saving design, the display only consumes power when the display changes. However, these changes occur slowly.
This behavior could be related to the fact that you are not using alkaline batteries. In this case, please make sure that you use alkaline batteries only.
This error is also manifested by the fact that the last function is visible in the Twist, the connection is poor according to the app, but the Twist cannot be operated and appears frozen.
It is possible that when it was dropped, the tabs in the Twist's battery compartment, which rest against the positive/negative pole of the battery, were bent. This is manifested, for example, by the batteries sliding back and forth in the Twist. Please try to bend the tabs back up slightly using a pen or similar object.

In addition to a user-friendly ePaper display, the Bosch Smart Home Twist also offers additional functions. It supports up to 30 switchable functions and the option to deactivate the alarm system with password protection.
The ePaper technology is a very energy-efficient technology that allows you to operate the Twist for 2 years without changing the batteries.
The Twist display has a very high contrast. This makes it easy to read even in twilight. In order to achieve a long battery life, a separate backlight for the Twist display was not included.
The Bosch Smart Home Twist has protection class IP20 and is therefore neither waterproof nor splash-proof.
You have a maximum of 32 functions / function assignments available per Twist.
In addition to a user-friendly ePaper display, the Bosch Smart Home Twist also offers more functions. It supports up to 32 switchable functions and the option to deactivate the alarm system with password protection.
The initial situation is as follows: The Twist loses connection to the Smart Home Controller quite frequently (indicated, among other things, by a corresponding symbol on the Twist).
One possible cause may be that the ZigBee and Wi-Fi signals overlap, as ZigBee and Wi-Fi use the 2.4 GHz frequency band simultaneously. If this is the case, it may lead to connection drops. Please check which channel your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi is running on. It is recommended to use only channels 1, 6, or 11 for Wi-Fi:
1. If the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi is on channel 1, we recommend switching to channel 6 or 11.
2. If it is on channel 6, switch to either channel 1 or 11.
3. If it is set to channel 11, we recommend switching to channel 1 or 6.
We would like to point out that changing the Wi-Fi channel may lead to performance issues. Normally, the "automatically set" channel is sufficient, but unfortunately it may interfere with the ZigBee signal under certain circumstances.
