Bosch Smart Home Shutter control flush-mounted: Requirements
It is important to know that the Bosch Smart Home Shutter control flush-mounted may only be used with shutters that have obstacle detection.
Why is obstacle detection important?
Obstacle detection plays a crucial role in the safety and functionality of your shutters. Imagine a flower pot is in front of your window and the shutter moves against it. With obstacle detection, the switch receives feedback from the motor and can react accordingly to prevent damage.
Unfortunately, this means that if your shutters do not have obstacle detection, the Bosch Smart Home Shutter control flush-mounted is not suitable. It is important that you observe this requirement to ensure the optimal function and safety of your shutters.
Problem: Smart Home app controls shutter the wrong way around
If the Smart Home app controls the shutter in the opposite direction, this could be due to the following reasons:
1. Reversed motor connections
Check whether the connections for the motor (1 and 2) are connected correctly. A mix-up could cause the shutter to be controlled in the wrong direction.
2. Incorrect installation of the shutter switch
If the manual operation of the shutter works correctly, it could be that the shutter switch was installed incorrectly. In this case, two errors could cancel each other out, making the manual operation still appear correct.
Please check these two points to resolve the issue. If you continue to experience difficulties, we are happy to assist you.
Problem: Incorrect display of shutter status in the Smart Home app
If your shutters are displayed as open or closed in the Smart Home app, even though the opposite is the case, this could have the following reasons:
Obstacle detection
Your shutter may have detected an obstacle. This could be a physical object blocking the path, or even frost and ice on the shutters. In such cases, the shutter control interprets the current position of the shutter as the end position and reports this back to the app.
Solution
Check your shutters for possible obstacles and remove them. If the problem persists, it may be helpful to consult a specialist.
Please remember that it is important to regularly maintain and check your shutters to ensure optimal function.
We hope this information is helpful to you. If you have any further questions, we are happy to assist you.
