Room Thermostat - Installation
Where in the room should I install the room thermostat (optimal)?
It is best to install the room thermostat at a point in the room where you are usually located, i.e. approximately near the sofa in the living room at a height of about 1.50m. If possible, do not mount the unit on an outside wall, near a window, near a heat source or in a place exposed to direct or indirect sunlight. Please also see our installation video in this article. The device does not start after inserting the battery. The display remains dark. What can I do (room thermostat, radiator thermostat)?
Both the room thermostat and the radiator thermostat may have a dark display when the batteries are changed. It looks like the batteries are dead. In this case, please remove the batteries and press the buttons on the units several times. After the batteries have been replaced, the devices should now be accessible again without any problems.
The room thermostat does not fit into the flush box. Are there any particular specifications or standards that I have to comply with?
In Germany, flush-mounted boxes normally have a depth of 50 mm. This is sufficient for our thermostats. In older households, the flush-mounted sockets are sometimes only 40 mm deep. Even today there are still so-called flat boxes, which have a depth of only 35 mm. Please note that parts of the described products and their functions may only be available in Germany and Austria.
