Can I interrupt the remote start at any time (Home Connect, Bosch household appliances)?
Yes, any manual intervention on the device itself (e.g. opening the machine) interrupts the scheduled remote start - this is a safety function. A shift outside the set time window or a status query and / or setting via app are then no longer possible.
How can I reset my Bosch home appliance to the factory settings (Home Connect)?
To do this, change to the respective device settings via the operating elements of your household appliance. On your dishwasher, for example, you will find this function under the menu item "Reset to factory settings". I cannot control my Bosch home appliance with the Bosch Smart Home App. What can I do (household appliances, Home Connect)?
Please check the following points: Have you activated the energy manager on your device for remote starting? For instance proceed as follows for your washing machine or dryer: Select program -> press start -> activate remote start. For your dishwasher, the following steps are required: Select program -> Activate remote start -> Press Start. Is your device connected via WLAN and has a sufficiently strong signal? Important: Only the following functions are currently available to you: Direct remote start. Countdown to program start. Countdown to the end of the program. Change of the end time within the possible end times (dishwasher only). The time can be moved forward; start cannot be aborted. It is also important to check if Home Connect is available and working (to be checked in the Home Connect app). Why can't I change the start time at will (Home appliances, Home Connect)?
Various framework conditions are set here: 1. You cannot change the time beyond the time window set on the device. 2. Tthe washing programme can only be postponed within a time window of 6 hours so that, for example, your laundry remains fresh and odour formation is effectively prevented.
What preparations must always be made when starting my Bosch home appliances remotely (Home Connect)?

I have started my Bosch household appliance. Why can't I see this status in the Smart Home App (Home Connect)?
Please check whether the remote start has been activated on your household appliance. The household appliance must not be opened again. After the connection is interrupted, for example by opening the door of a dishwasher, the remote start must be reactivated. If this does not happen, your Bosch Smart Home System will unfortunately not be able to access your household appliance.
What are the requirements for integrating my Bosch home appliance (including HOME Connect)?
You need a well-functioning WLAN connection (you may need a repeater for signal amplification). Furthermore, your Bosch home appliance must be networkable with Home Connect and should already be registered via a Home Connect user account.

Why do the Bosch Smart Home App and the Home Connect App not have the same functionality (home appliances)?
Your Bosch Smart Home App provides you with the basic functions of your Bosch home appliances for status information and control. The Home Connect App provides you with all additional functions of the respective devices.
My Bosch home appliance cannot be integrated into my Bosch Smart Home System. What can I do (Home Connect, Energy Manager)?
Please check the following points first. Is your device connected via WLAN and works via Home Connect? Is your device registered in your Home Connect user account? Is the energy manager activated? Currently, you can already conveniently integrate devices from the areas of washing, drying, baking, cooling and rinsing as well as coffee machines into the Bosch Smart Home System and thus also into its scenarios and automation. Further integrations of Home Connect products from the household appliance sector are currently being examined.
How do I integrate my compatible Bosch home appliance into my Bosch Smart Home System (Home Connect)?
To connect your Bosch home appliances to the Bosch Smart Home System, first make sure that your home appliances are already connected to your Home Connect account. For further information, please refer to the respective enclosed operating instructions. 1. Once you have connected your devices to the Home Connect App, please open the Bosch Smart Home App. 2. open the item "More > System". Now activate remote access under "Remote Access". Then go back one step and select "Partners". 3. Select "Home Connect". 4. Then click on "Link account" and log in with your HomeConnect information. Your household devices should now be transferred to the Bosch Smart Home App, otherwise you can add the corresponding devices in the Smart Home App under "Management" -> "Devices" -> "Add Device" after connecting the two Apps.
