Which Ledvance products can I integrate into the Bosch Smart Home System?
You can integrate the majority of all Ledvance products in the Smart+ family into the Bosch Smart Home System. The prerequisite is that the devices operate on the ZigBee 3.0 radio protocol. You do not need an additional controller or bridge to integrate the Ledvance products. The integration runs via the Bosch Smart Home Controller. A detailed list of all compatible products can be found here.
What can I do if my compatible Ledvance products do not display the correct color configuration I selected in my Bosch Smart Home App?
Please check first whether the selected products are capable of displaying the desired colour. Ledvance products with the label "Dimmable" can change brightness, Ledvance products with the label "Tunable White" can additionally set different color temperatures and Ledvance products with the label "Multicolor" can additionally set RGBW.
What can I do if my Ledvance products are not reached?
1.) Check that the compatible Ledvance products have a working power supply and are switched on. If necessary, use Ledvance products with the Bosch Smart Home flush-mounted light control. Check that it is switched on. Only when the power is on can the Ledvance products receive commands. 2.) If there is a power supply, disconnect the affected Ledvance product from the power supply for 30 seconds. Then restore the power supply. It may take up to three minutes for the Ledvance product to reconnect to the Bosch Smart Home System.
How can I reset my Ledvance products to the factory settings (Dimmable products)?
To reset Dimmable Ledvance products to their factory default settings, turn the lamps ON five times in a row for five seconds each time and OFF for five seconds. When turned on again, the lamp will dim up and down three times for confirmation and can then be reconnected to a compatible smart home system.
How can I reset my Ledvance products to the factory settings? (Tunable White products)
To reset Tunable White Ledvance products to factory default, turn the lamps ON five times in a row for five seconds each time and OFF for five seconds. When turned on again, the lamp blinks cold white twice and warm white twice for confirmation and can then be re-integrated into a compatible smart home system.
How can I reset my Ledvance products to the factory settings? (RGBW products, products with color output)
To reset Ledvance products that have the addition RGBW in their product description, i.e. lamps that can also display colors, please proceed as follows: Switch on five times in a row for five seconds each time and switch off for five seconds. After switching on again, the lamp flashes blue, green and red for confirmation and can then be integrated into the Bosch Smart Home System again.
Can I use my Ledvance products to extend the range of my Bosch Smart Home products?
Yes, you can use Ledvance products to extend the signal of Bosch Smart Home products that are running on ZigBee 3.0. These are currently the motion detector, the Twist as well as the Bosch Smart Home Twinguard and Outdoor Siren. Please note: A range extension is only given as long as the Ledvance products are not de-energized (e.g. by switching off the light switch).
How do compatible Ledvance products react to a power failure?
Even though power failures are relatively rare in Central Europe, provisions have been made at this point. As soon as the power supply is restored after a power failure, the Ledvance products are reset to their default settings.
I have Ledvance Zigbee Light Link lamps. Can I integrate them into my Bosch Smart Home System?
No. Only selected ZigBee 3.0 devices from Ledvance are compatible with our Bosch Smart Home System. You can find all compatible devices here.
What is the default setting of compatible Ledvance devices?
The basic setting of compatible Ledvance products is the same as the last used setting of the respective lamps, which includes brightness, color and color temperature. To save the last used setting, the lamp must be switched on for 30 seconds in the respective setting.
Can I operate my integrated Ledvance lamps via a normal light switch?
Yes, it is possible to control compatible Ledvance products by means of a light switch. However, it is not possible to switch on the Ledvance lamps via Bosch Smart Home App when the light switch is set to "Off".
Can I dim my integrated Ledvance lamps using a conventional dimmer?
No, unfortunately it is not possible to dim compatible Ledvance products using a conventional dimmer. The Bosch Smart Home App is required to change the brightness of the lamps.
When installing my Ledvance lamp I am asked to scan a QR code. However, there is no QR Code on my lamp. What should I do?
In some cases, QR codes are not available on compatible Ledvance Smart+ devices. In this case, fill out the complaint form on the Ledvance website. You will then receive a replacement promptly.
My Ledvance product is defective. What can I do?
You can fill out a exchange claim form on the Ledvance website. Select "Complaint form for private customers" and fill in the required fields.
Can I also control my Ledvance products via the universal switches or the Twist?
You can switch your Ledvance products on and off and trigger scenarios using the Bosch Smart Home Twist or Bosch Smart Home universal switches.
Do I have the possibility to control my Ledvance lamps by voice (Google Assistant, Siri, Alexa)?
It is possible to control Ledvance products via voice if the lamps are integrated into scenarios that have been created in the Bosch Smart Home app. However, these scenarios are only transferred to Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to transfer scenarios created in the Bosch Smart Home app to Apple Homekit. It is therefore not possible to control Ledvance products by voice via Apple Homekit or Siri.
How do my Ledvance products behave in case of a burglar, smoke or water alarm?
In case of a burglar alarm, Ledvance lamps, which are capable of emitting coloured light, flash red. In the event of a smoke alarm, the Ledvance lamps light up yellow. In case of a water alarm, they light up blue.
What functions are available to me after integrating my Ledvance products?
Once you have integrated the Ledvance products into your Bosch Smart Home System, you can use the LEDs in scenarios, automations and other services such as presence simulation, alarm system and motion light.
How can I integrate my Ledvance product into my Bosch Smart Home System?
If you have a compatible Ledvance product, open the Bosch Smart Home App. Open the item "Devices" --> "Add device" --> "Smart lamp". Now follow the instructions in the app.
