Door/Window Contact - Operations
Do I get a notification if I forget to close the window (door / window contact)?
You will receive a notification if a window is open. You can activate this option under More > System > Notifications > Open doors and windows. In addition, you can define individual notifications via the use of automations. For example, if a window is open for a longer period of time, you can use an automation to define that an action is performed (e.g. sending a message to your end device or visual notification by a smart lamp, etc.).
Do I get a notification when I activate the alarm system and forget to close a window (alarm service, alarm scenario)?
Yes. To avoid security gaps, the alarm system actively checks the status of all integrated devices that serve as triggers for intrusion detection in the currently activated alarm profile (door-window contacts and motion detectors) when armed. If a window is still open, you will be alerted via push notification on your smartphone. To receive the warning, push notifications must be enabled for your alarm system. To do this, go to "More" > "System" > "Notifications" and turn on both "Receive notifications" and "Alarm system enabled / disabled".
Will I be automatically reminded to shoot my window again after a certain time (e.g. after 10 minutes)?
You can define individual notifications via the use of automations. For example, if a window is open for a longer period of time, an automation can be used to define that an action is performed (e.g. sending a message to your end device or visual notification by a smart lamp, etc.).
I open my window but my radiator thermostat does not automatically regulate downwards. What am I doing wrong?
Wait a few seconds after opening the door/window contact. If no change is still visible, this may have various causes: 1. Check whether the door/window contact indicates opening and closing by the built-in LED. If not, please check the batteries. Check whether the correct door/window contact is visible on your home screen (Favourites). 2. The components of the door/window contact may be a maximum of 8 mm apart and must be mounted at the same height (lower edge). Please check the correct alignment. 3. Please check whether two or three LEDs on your Smart Home Controller are lit continuously, depending on whether you have activated remote access. 4. It is possible that a door/window contact in the service "ventilation detection" (menu item "Services") has been deactivated and is therefore not taken into account. Please check this setting. If you still have questions or problems with the integration, accessibility or use of the device, please contact our
The connection is bad, the door / window contact is no longer accessible. What can I do?
Please check whether the LED of the door / window contact is still flashing during opening and closing. If this is the case, it is possible that the distance between the Smart Home Controller and the device is too great, or that other products are interfering with the connection. Also make sure that the component is at least 1m away from the controller during the test.
